Boston-Fogg Art Museum Fogg Art Museum
Address: 32 Quincy Street
Hours: Tues-Sun 10am-5pm

Among its treasures, the Fogg Art Museum boasts the country's largest collection of paintings and drawings by neoclassical painter Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. His sensuous Odalisque, painted for his closest friend, reflects the nineteenth-century's fascination with erotica. Ingres never travelled to the Moslem world but, rather, relied on secondhand sources for details.
