This French bistro landed amid the Italian restaurants on Taylor Street. Savvy, seasoned diners flock to this cozy French bistro. The soft yellow walls include prints and posters along with a little bistro bar create the ideal intimate setting. Chez Joel offers some of the finest bistro fare in town.

Chef/owner Joel Kazouini's namesake restaurant serves such Gallic specialties as steak frites and coq au vin. Other highlights include classic bistro dishes (garlicky escargots, tangy and tender mussels marinieres) and sensational daily specials. Tournedos de boeuf satisfies with a buttery filet surrounded by vegetables in a resonant Bordeaux reduction lambshank Creative salads are impeccably fresh and perfectly dressed; the steak frites are among the best in town.
