Just about anything goes at Dick's Last Resort, where the faint of heart probably need not enter. A wisecracking wait staff and food served in buckets sets the tone, as does the décor. Located in the Prudential Center in Back Bay, Dick's is a joint decorated with miscellany of neon beer signs and ceiling fans. It's a place to have fun, dance to live music or just lean back with a beer and ribs. If upon receiving your bucket of ribs you ask for a plate - well, you are in the wrong place.

Dick's serves chicken, beef and pork ribs, lobster, crab and shrimp, served on butcher paper and accompanied by a bib. With every entrée comes coleslaw, fries and a bucket of deliciously warm bread. The crab legs are tender sweet. The ribs are big, juicy and slathered with a tangy sauce. And the beer selection is worth looking into. Hawked as "Dick's Around the World Experience" (74 beer in all) the collection features unusual brews from Jamaica, New Zealand, Czechoslovakia- you name it. After you have chewed your last rib, quiet a clamoring sweet tooth with cheesecake - the rich, moist kind - or peanut butter pie.

On Sunday, Dick has a Brunch with live music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They serve fruit, salads, Eggs Benedict, Fried Chicken and many Southern favorites. Help yourself to the waffle or omelet stations and the dessert bar, while listening to old fashion uplifting gospel music. This is the place your Mama warned you about - Easy to get to hard to leave. Live entertainment seven nights a week with no cover, no taste, and certainly no class. Open for lunch, Dinner and late night entertainment seven days a week. Open everyday 11 a.m. til late. All major credit cards accepted.
