This is the tour for those looking to experience the vitality and excitement of Chicago. You'll go through Chicago's main business section, one of the financial centers of the world and always bustling with activity. You'll tour the famous "Loop" and State Street - the great street where Chicago's fame began. Travel by the striking Richard J. Daley plaza with its acknowledged masterpiece, the Pablo Picasso sculpture, created specifically for Chicago. You'll take a ride on Wacker Drive, the double-decked thoroughfare that wends its way under the city. You travel over the Chicago River made to flow backwards by one of the world's greatest engineering feats. You'll see the famous, white Wrigley Building announcing the beginning of the Magnificent Mile and Michigan Avenue where Chicago's most exclusive stores exhibit their wares. You'll see Chicago's elegant seven-level shopping complex the renowned Water Tower Place alongside one of the tallest buildings in the world, the John Hancock Center. You'll go through Lincoln Park, a thousand acres of greenery, lagoons, flowers, and zoo. You'll see Wrigley Field - home of the Cubs (not on game days) - the Botanical Gardens, Chicago Historical Society, Newberry Reference Library, and an Indian Totem Pole. 2 South Shore Tour

Here is a tour full of interest, history, and beauty. You'll travel through Grant Park, the front lawn of the city and site of Soldier Field, Adler Planetarium with its sky dome, the Joseph Petrillo outdoor band-shell where Chicagoans listen to fine music throughout the summer nights, the Art Institute of Chicago, world renowned for the largest collection of impressionistic art, Orchestra Hall, home of the famous Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the world's largest aquarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum of Natural History, renowned for the size and scope of its collections. And looking over from these sights you'll see the 80 story Amoco Oil Building, completely faced in white granite. Then you'll travel through the South Commons a new 'close- in' residential community. We travel through beautiful Jackson Park where the Columbian Exposition of 1893 was held to celebrate the founding of America 400 years earlier. Then you'll pass through the University of Chicago with its elegant English style architecture, and pass the Museum of Science and Industry, a tribute to man's ingenuity and inventiveness. You'll see the world's highest apartment building, Lake Point Towers, an architecturally stunning building of glass and curves adjacent to Navy Pier, Chicago's inland port. 3 The Grand Tour

A comprehensive tour of everything Chicago has to offer. You'll travel through both the North Side and South Side business and residential districts. All the points of interest covered in Tours 1 and 2 are included in the Grand Tour. You'll visit all the beautiful parks, Lincoln Park, Washington Park, Grant Park and tour virtually the entire length of the scenic Outer Drive. A stop will be made at the fascinating Lincoln Park Conservatory and a camera stop will be made at the Adler Planetarium for its breathtaking view or a substitute stop. Lunch not included. 3B The Grand Tour and Sears Tower

On this tour you will see Chicago from the water as you cruise along the skyline in a beautiful streamliner yacht! This comprehensive tour gives you most of the sights as in the South Shore Tour - the business district, the Loop, the exclusive shopping areas and neighborhoods. Then your shoreline cruise along the lakefront allows you to view the Chicago river, bridges and the famous Chicago Locks. See Navy Pier, the Coast Guard Station and other points of interest along the shores of the longest lake in the world, Lake Michigan. The tour ends at the boat dock adjacent to Michigan Avenue and its exclusive stores. South Side Sights include:

7 Ship and Shore

An exciting day's relaxation, a truly Chicago Experience aboard a Chicago Gray Line deluxe, air-conditioned motorcoach for a 4-hour Grand Tour of Chicago plus round-trip transfers to Navy Pier to board one of the fabulous oceangoing vessels, the Spirit of Chicago, for a 2-hour cruise including a delicious, full-service luncheon. Aboard the Spirit of Chicago, ship entertainment is provided by it's talented crew of waiters and waitresses singing songs in a Salute to Broadway. The ship's Captain will provide a narrated lecture skyline during the cruise. After cruise, shopping time may be available. From Ancient Chinese bronzes to African wood carvings, from Rembrandt to the French impressionists to works by todays artists, from American and English miniature rooms to intricate glass paperweights - - the museums collections include some of the finest art ever produced. 18 Panorama Dinner Cruise and South Shore Tour

20 North Shore and Botanic Garden Tour

Travel along Lake Shore Drive to Evanston, passing the Northwestern University campus through part of Wilmette, Winnetka via Green Bay Road to Glencoe, home of the Chicago Botanic Garden. Explore this world-renowned garden in the city's backyard. This 385-acre living museum features 23 specialty gardens set on a series of islands and lakes. Tour the gardens by tram.

After the tour, visit the Garden Cafe for a cafeteria-style lunch.
