The Steps of Rome Trattoria was established 10 years ago, two years after the birth of its sister restaurant the Steps of Rome Caffe. Trattoria is the Italian word for family-owned eatery. True to its meaning, the Trattoria provides diners with a truly authentic Italian experience like the Caffe, but in a more intimate, romantic setting. While dining at the Trattoria, you are instantly transported to a cozy and warm dining room of an Italian family in Rome while you enjoy a delicious and hearty meal.

For the past ten years, the Trattoria has been a highly acclaimed destination in North Beach, dedicated to bringing Americans a true taste of Italy. In fact, the Steps of Rome Trattoria was recently named the Best Italian Restaurant in San Francisco by the 2004 San Francisco Weekly Reader’s Poll.
