Nearly 850 mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians are housed on the 75 acres of the San Francisco Zoo. Attractions include: Koala Crosing, Penguin Island, Gorilla World, the Primate Discovery Center, Australian WalkAbout, the Children's Zoo, an antique carousel, Insect Zoo and the return of Little Puffer, the historic miniature steam train. The Zoo is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Located at Sloat Boulevard at the Pacific Ocean.
