Presenting the best in live international and national reggae and world beat music seven nights a week, the WILD HARE has been an important part of the Chicago music scene for the last ten years. Located at 3530 North Clark street in Central Lake view, The Wild hare is one of the most popular live performance venues in the world and an important part of the vibrant culture of Chicago.

The wild hare concept promotes the advancement and elevation of a peoples awareness through culture and music, becoming a cultural "Mecca" for all Chicagoans. In its quest to enhance the cultural vitality of Chicago, the Wildhare has brought to its stage such internationally known acts as Burning Spear and Yellow man from Jamaica; Lucky Dube from South Africa; and Pato Banton from England.

As part of its goal, The Wild Hare consistently works to nurture African Caribean music by producing promoting and providing a work shop for Chicago based musicians. As a result, Chicago has more than 30 Reggae and World beat bands. This include artists that have played with major international acts such as the rolling stones, Ziggy Marley, Judy Mowatt.
